Descrizione
The Riva del Garda hydroelectric power plant was inaugurated in 1929. Built immediately after the First World War to meet the energy needs of the municipalities of Riva del Garda and Rovereto.
It overlooks the lake and the road from Riva del Garda along the lake towards Brescia. Designed by Giancarlo Maroni, the architect of Gabriele D’Annunzio. The hydroelectric power plant was built in the same years as the construction of the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera.
The hydroelectric power plant of Riva del Garda is a jewel of architecture and engineering still working perfectly that produces clean energy using water from the Ledro lake.
