The olive grove of Arco is one of the most important areas of oil production in Trentino. It is located in Garda Trentino and develops from the foot of the coast of the castle to the west. We are a few kilometers from Lake Garda.
The olive grove of Arco is one of the few places in northern Italy where olives are grown and oil is produced. The geographical position of the city of Arco has among its peculiarities the mild climate and a sunny position that make the area the ideal environment for the growth of olive trees.
There are several varieties of olive trees. In the area, there are two varieties of olive trees that are cultivated and are the variety Casaliva and the variety Frantoio. These are the most present in the area. In addition to these two varieties there are plants of Leccino and Pendolino.
A high quality extra virgin olive oil is produced, which boasts the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) certification. The taste of the oil is delicate and fruity. The olive trees are of different varieties and in the area are mainly cultivated the variety Casaliva and Frantoio. In addition to these two varieties there are plants of Leccino and Pendolino.
