Lago di Tenno

Lake Tenno is located in the municipality of Tenno. Its colors are really unique, hard to forget this particularity.

A little history on the formation of the lake.

Probably the lake was formed around 1100. The area where now there is the lake was the confluence of 2 valleys. A landslide, detached from Mount Misone, filled the area forming a basin blocking the course of the land that flowed there. The first years after formation the lake level was high almost to cover the basin. Forces and pressures lowered the level of the lake to its present level, all this happened around 1400. The lake does not have an emissary so the level of the lake is variable. In periods with little water you can walk to the island that is on the eastern shore

The lake is swimming, with stone beaches absolutely natural and you can make the tour of the lake on foot, path suitable for everyone that you find in the link below.
