Descrizione
According to information collected, the construction of this capital dates back to the well-known period of the plague in 1630. We read in fact in the « Memoirs of the Caproni Family » (collected by Dr. Federico Caproni) that in 1830 the capital of this villa was refreshed at the Pozza dei Negri (built in 1630) by an old Italian painter». The main niche houses a large fresco depicting Saint Sebastian the Apostle John, S. Rocco, and above the Assumption of the Virgin. In the niche facing north, however, there is a fresco with the figure of St. Lucia patron saint of the country.
The recent complete restoration of the Capital has been made possible by the contribution of the Municipality of Arco (which is also the owner), the Rural Fund of Oltresarca, the generosity of the census of Mason and the Restoration Committee Capitals of Arco.
