Descrizione

The Medieval village of Frapporta is located in the town of Tenno, right next to the castle of Tenno.

Frapporta is a walled village that until the last century communicated directly with the castle above. The village is a typical medieval fortified village. It is accessed through an ogival door still present. On the sides of the door there are still the closing ferratas.

The northern walls support a seventeenth-century tower whose space below, outside, is occupied by a characteristic fountain and the remains of an early medieval tomb.

The houses are stone, with beautiful gates. Along the narrow streets of the medieval village of Frapporta there are vegetable gardens and open spaces. There are only two streets that go down to the south and a network of narrow alleys. Proceeding south you arrive at the Church of San Lorenzo and just above a beautiful viewpoint over the Sarca valley and Lake Garda.
