Casa del Vescovo is located in the old Piazzetta Marocco. It’s a beautiful example of Renaissance construction. You notice the two three-mullioned windows with the coat of arms of the noble family of Cillà.
The building is traditionally called, but erroneously Bishop’s House, for the sumptuousness and grandeur of the building. The fifteenth century estimi recall several times in the area the name of Palatium, to indicate the importance of a building, probably this. From the square are still visible in the ancient walls and inside the inhabited structures the bases of the different towers that were to be equipped the medieval city.
