The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is located in Ceniga, a fraction of the municipality of Dro. The first news of the church date back to 1186 when the church was consecrated by Bishop Alberto of Castel Campo.The first certain mention of the church dates back to 1367. In 1568, the church was rebuilt. The works of the church last 5 years by the master builder Tommaso Bellini. In addition to the reconstruction of the church is built the bell tower to be placed at will in the area around the church.

In 1922 the Trentino painter Angelo Molinari made the fresco decoration of the vault of the presbytery with the symbols of the Evangelists. Four years later, in 1926, the left side chapel was built and in 1945, Marco Bertoldi painted the cycle of the Way of the Cross along the walls of the nave. In 1959 the church of Saints Peter and Paul was erected as a parish on 13 December. Between 2008 and 2011, conservative restoration work was carried out.

Interiors of the church

The parish church of Saints Peter and Paul, is oriented to the east. It has a facade bounded laterally by cantonal stone courses alternating, topped by triangular pediment; At the bottom of the middle there is an architrave portal surmounted by a lunette preceded by seven steps, above which opens a circular oculus. The interior has a single nave with major longitudinal axis concluded by a raised presbytery on three steps. Nave and presbytery are covered by cross vaults.
