Descrizione
The Church of the Holy Trinity is located in Via Roma in Arco. It is also called the Lutheran church of Santa Teresa. The church was inaugurated in February 1900. Construction of the church began in 1897. Church wanted by an evangelical Lutheran community of Merano, South Tyrol. During the outbreak of World War I it was abandoned. In 1935 it was entrusted to the Catholic community of the Collegiate Church of Arco.
The Catholic community decided to dedicate it to Saint Therese of the Child Jesus. She was blessed in 1934. From 1934 until 1972 it was used by the Catholic community. From 1972 it returned to be used by the evangelical community.
The Church of the Holy Trinity was designed by the painter and architect Heinrich Fricke.
Church of neo-Gothic style and German Art Nouveau. The roof is very sloping and the tiles are colorful. Red and gray stone is used for masonry. There are large tripartite stained glass windows on the sides. The interior of the church is very simple and essential.
