Descrizione

The fortress of Riva is a medieval fortification. The first evidence of the building is from 1124. Over the centuries the structure has had many transformations. What you see now is the transformation of the mid-nineteenth century.

The fortress of Riva has walls of stone and mortar, four corner towers and a small entrance bridge on the channel of the fortress. Its walls house the MAG (Museo Alto Garda) and the art gallery, with works by Pietro Ricchi, Francesco Hayez and Vincenzo Vela, among others.
