The Archducal Park, is located in Arco. The park is also called Arboretum, a botanical garden. Inside there are tree and shrub species.
A bit of history
Originally the park was the green area of the villa of Archduke Albert of Habsburg around 1872, to spend the winter months in Arco. Most of the plants inside are evergreen. They were planted evergreen to beautify the villa especially in winter.
Flora of the Archducal Park – Arboretum
Inside the park you can admire the Californian cypresses, holm oaks, the evergreen sequoia, the Lawson cypress, the mammouth tree. In the northern part of the park there are greenhouses with various citrus fruits. The mild climate of Alto Garda favours the growth of 150 species of trees and shrubs from all over the world, with a prevalence of Mediterranean and subtropical plants. Inside a pond with goldfish and koi carp and turtles. Looking up to the right you can see the Arco castle.
