Descrizione
The Roman Bridge of Ceniga is located along the old road from Arco to Ceniga. From Arco the location can be reached by taking the road to Prabi. Halfway, on the left is located the eremo of San Paolo.
You can also reach the bridge by parking in Ceniga, a hamlet of the municipality of Dro and follow the signs.
The bridge is very beautiful. Its origins are uncertain. Surely it was a point where you could cross the river Sarca from the roads that came from Arco and Laghel to reach Ceniga. On the wall of the bridge is the date of 1719, date of the reconstruction of the bridge after a flood of the river Sarca. Also in 1868 the bridge was rebuilt following the demolition ordered by the Austrians in the Third War of Independence.
Under the bridge there is a beautiful beach and in the summer several people relax. In the area also benches and a fountain. Coming from Arco and continuing you find yourself on the path of Marocche to do by mtb.
Here’s how to get there.
