Descrizione
Ville del Monte is an ancient name that distinguishes one of the four villas in Tennese, the northernmost, the highest – the only one that still retains the name that belonged to the neighborhoods.
The village consists of four ancient villages – Canale, Calvóla, Pastoédo and Sant’Antonio – and from the new part of the country, the Matóni. The new district is located near Lake Tenno, while along the road is the oldest village of Sant’Antonio, where the beautiful Romanesque church is dedicated to S. Antonio Abate, protector of animals and saint particularly loved in the peasant world – still celebrated today with a traditional festival of great charm.
